The Tranformation

The Tranformation

The wind darted through the trees

Leaving but a memory

Of the previous day’s heat

Strongly and joyfully

The wind swept the dust along before it

Clearing a pathway for the finale

Like a skilful hurdler

Swiftly bounding over the obstacles

That lined the way to the finish

The race continued

But the wind had lagged behind

The leaves gasped for breath
