Psychedelia: A Mourner’s Tale

Mental paralysis takes over your mind
You’re a bee in an empty hive
Images appear and vanish in time
You are both dead and alive
Demons and dragons and danger and death
Suffering spears of time
Vanish in clouds of spiralling smoke
Gone, forever laid down
Lazy invaders are drowning their sorrows
Whiskey and vodka and wine
Babbling brooks and feelings of fear
Double their troubles for now
Butterflies in colours never seen before
Flapping around the room
Popular people get ripped into shreds
Bleeding and dying and doomed
Sid reaches down and feels the pain
Nancy lies dead on the bed
Heroin once again fills up his brain
Psychedelia takes over again
